My big girl!!
My Madison Mae is about to graduate Kindergarten. Wow....what a journey! There are not enough words for the year that we've had. She has hung in there with it & worked hard. We are now 3yrs into her Absence Seizures. It has been up & down. Currently she has been well managed & seems to be returning to the girl I once new at 3yrs of age. She had turned inward over those 3yrs & become very fearful of new surroundings. Her personality is blossoming back out, a definite blessing to watch. God has been so good to us throughout this experience. Holding me in the scary moments & providing Madison comfort when I didn't know how to help her. I am overwhelmed at the way He lovingly cares for us & carries us through things that seem unbearable. He has always been in control & helped me accept being out of control:) All of the above makes this moment at graduation seem so much greater. My baby has survived some very scary moments & struggled with me to learn. It has definitely been a struggle many days, but we are learning. I always come back to that....learning. It's all good as long as I am learning more of Him. I see God bigger & more intimate every day. He continues to remodel me & believe me I need some remodeling. Thank you Lord for getting us to this day:) Praise be to you.

Today
There are many hopes these days. Hopes to get my family more organized, the kids enjoying a simplistic routine, craft time, delighting in the wonderful fall colors. All in all, taking it one day at a time. I have once again realized God has not called us to run around crazy, but to take in the moments. It's a great challenge to see beyond our frustrating times & choose to look for what He is doing. Thankfully He is continually working on me. Hopefully I'll continue to listen. Till next time, may you enjoy His wonder around you.

Working, working, working
I'm in process of getting my store loaded up with goodies. Please feel free to shop for those special teachers, moms, & friends. I'll be working on my "manly" items as we get closer to Father's Day. Until then.....should try & get some sleep. The kids will be up bright & early around here!!!!!!!
ps......I also hope to get my stamp sets posted in the store. I'm cleaning out my supply to make room for the awesome new sets I've acquired. Recycle..recycle.....my "Old" can be your "New".

Just another day
In defiance of the sickness that has overtaken us for the past 2wks, we decided it was time for some outdoor fun. Today the kids & I got outside to enjoy the park. It was nice to see them running, laughing, & energetic again. I'd almost forgotten what that was like. The simple things!! We're not fully ourselves as of yet, but we're getting there. It was a good day.

Here I am...
I'm back. It's been a while since I've been around, but I'm still here. I have high hopes to be a more consistent blogger in the future. For now, I'll post an interesting use of my Crop a Dile 2. My oldest daughter has been having fine motor issues related to her seizures. I went to the store in search of lacing activities for her to practice. We found some toddler version lacing games, but they seemed too simplistic for her. I kept looking it over (thick foam shapes) & pondering how I could make more holes in it to increase the challenge. Then it came to me, I have a Crop a Dile long reach!! It was just sitting back there in my little craft space waiting for a great calling. It worked wonders. Of course, we all know my Madison is thrilled that I made the game harder for her. She'll just get the beginning course on "what's harder makes you stronger"!! Gotta love it. Well, that's all for now. I'll add pics later to make this more entertaining. Till later....go Crop a Dile!!!!!

Blast from past..
These are valentines created for my kids' classmates. I followed a very simple tutorial to complete about 30-40 in 3-4hrs. I used small clear plastic bags filled with candy for the inside of the gifts. The holes in the top & bottom were made using a Crop-a-Dile (handy for late night punching) for the pencils. Here's some pics followed by step-by-step instructions:
- 2.75 x 9.5 inch paper
- Score at 1, 4.5, 5.25, & 6 in
- Trim scallop or decorative edge to the top edge (nearest 1 inch score mark)
- Decorate front as desired
- Inside place small clear bag filled with candy
- Fold over top of clear bag
- Staple top flap to secure bag inside
I'll try to post more examples of these in days to come.

A Look Back to Father's Day
Here's a look back to my Father's Day gift to my husband last year. I wanted to celebrate moments that I had captured of him with our 3 kids.

I used Wire Works to bind it together. It looked more rugged & manly to me! I made 2 sets of tag books to display more photos & tucked them into pockets on the inner/outer covers.

The page above has shots of Daddy with each baby not long after they were born. Of course they are each about a year apart, so it wasn't hard to compile these photos. What can I say, we were on a roll!! The back cover has the greatest photo of my "main man". It displays his character perfectly!!

All stamped images are Stampin Up Stamps.

Embossed Purses
Here's some purses I found on the clearance at Hobby Lobby. I just had to decorate them for some of the kids. They made great little gifts for our friends.
I embossed the designs & letters using Versamark with embossing powder. I then used Versamark across the entire surface & covered it with clear glitter embossing powder.
I lined the inside of the purse with designer paper to complete the project.

Latest Happenings
Well here I am again. Little delayed in keeping up with posting. Ha.Ha. Kids, life, & lots of new adventures going on. We have been wrestling on the search for a new car. As I type, my dear hubby is on his way back from Bham with our new to us "used" Pilot!! YIPPEE!!!!!! Great rejoicing. I'll now be able to transport someone else besides just our kids. Hey & we'll have A/C! Excellent considering the heat of summer is upon us.
Well I have a few questions, for anyone reading. Are there any techniques you are looking to learn? Do you have any techniques to share? Send them my way..

Still Here...
Well I'm still around. It's been slow going the past couple days between sick kids & reading about starting an ebay store. I'm hoping to get the store up & running this week. It's good to have goals, I think. I'm not sure if I'll meet that one, but hey I can dream!!
I hope to get some crafts posted sooner than later, but these things take time. The best things in life take time, like family. Keep checking back with me.......it will happen!
For now enjoy these shots of my kids....
