Blast from past..
These are valentines created for my kids' classmates. I followed a very simple tutorial to complete about 30-40 in 3-4hrs. I used small clear plastic bags filled with candy for the inside of the gifts. The holes in the top & bottom were made using a Crop-a-Dile (handy for late night punching) for the pencils. Here's some pics followed by step-by-step instructions:
- 2.75 x 9.5 inch paper
- Score at 1, 4.5, 5.25, & 6 in
- Trim scallop or decorative edge to the top edge (nearest 1 inch score mark)
- Decorate front as desired
- Inside place small clear bag filled with candy
- Fold over top of clear bag
- Staple top flap to secure bag inside
I'll try to post more examples of these in days to come.

A Look Back to Father's Day
Here's a look back to my Father's Day gift to my husband last year. I wanted to celebrate moments that I had captured of him with our 3 kids.

I used Wire Works to bind it together. It looked more rugged & manly to me! I made 2 sets of tag books to display more photos & tucked them into pockets on the inner/outer covers.

The page above has shots of Daddy with each baby not long after they were born. Of course they are each about a year apart, so it wasn't hard to compile these photos. What can I say, we were on a roll!! The back cover has the greatest photo of my "main man". It displays his character perfectly!!

All stamped images are Stampin Up Stamps.

Embossed Purses
Here's some purses I found on the clearance at Hobby Lobby. I just had to decorate them for some of the kids. They made great little gifts for our friends.
I embossed the designs & letters using Versamark with embossing powder. I then used Versamark across the entire surface & covered it with clear glitter embossing powder.
I lined the inside of the purse with designer paper to complete the project.

Latest Happenings
Well here I am again. Little delayed in keeping up with posting. Ha.Ha. Kids, life, & lots of new adventures going on. We have been wrestling on the search for a new car. As I type, my dear hubby is on his way back from Bham with our new to us "used" Pilot!! YIPPEE!!!!!! Great rejoicing. I'll now be able to transport someone else besides just our kids. Hey & we'll have A/C! Excellent considering the heat of summer is upon us.
Well I have a few questions, for anyone reading. Are there any techniques you are looking to learn? Do you have any techniques to share? Send them my way..

Still Here...
Well I'm still around. It's been slow going the past couple days between sick kids & reading about starting an ebay store. I'm hoping to get the store up & running this week. It's good to have goals, I think. I'm not sure if I'll meet that one, but hey I can dream!!
I hope to get some crafts posted sooner than later, but these things take time. The best things in life take time, like family. Keep checking back with me.......it will happen!
For now enjoy these shots of my kids....

Progress
I'm making progress. I'm not quite sure exactly what I've done thus far, but hopefully some of it will stick in this "ole" brain! The slide show was practice, but I'm sure you're thrilled to view my gorgeous family. I'm not biased at all. Till the next adventure, nite-nite.
It's a Start
Well today is my beginning to actually putting some words to the blog!! I have just returned from swim class with my girls. I am helping teach their class, which is very entertaining. I am definitely learning, more & more about effective teaching. It's a good thing to learn period, but most importantly as a mom. I am practicing teaching everyday as I try to help them learn about the world around them. What a heavy task, we moms have!! I am learning about listening more & watching my words, choosing them carefully. Well this has little to do with crafts, or perhaps good principals for everything!! Till next post....
